KASON MAZOVIA JUNIOR CUP 2005
4-6.03.2005r. - Kason Mazovia Junior Cup 2005.
Kason Mazovia Junior Cup 2005 proved that badminton is very popular sport among young people, and the organisation of large-scale, international events is our speciality. Masovian Badminton Association hosted more than 500 people in Sochocin, of whom 320 were players from 6 countries: Denmark, Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, Latvia and Poland.
Our foreign guests won in five games. Danish men's double Satrup Kasper/Lars Rutz Nielsen in U-19 category won the three-game final match with Dawid Gąsior/Kamil Krukowski. Danish players also won junior mixed final where Heidi Mortensen/ Bo Larsen Kasper (who almost in every match made a spectacular dive for the shuttlecock) won with the Polish pair Maciej Kowalik /Marlena Flis who decided to give up after Kowalik's injury. Among the foreign winners was also Denis Panczenko from Ukraine, who won U-16 men's single category with Piotr Typiak 5/15 15/13 15/4. Julia Kazarinowa, who also represented Ukraine, won with Martyna Poprzeczko from Naprzod Zielonki 11/7 11/5 in U-13 women's single category. Promising young Russian player Denis Grachev, who arrived to Sochocin from as far as Wladyvostok, through Niznyj Nowgorod where just before Mazovia Russian Open had been held, did not manage to defeat Mateusz Dubowski from LUKS Badminton Choroszcz and lost 9/15 6/15 in the final of U-13 men's single category. However, Denis was awarded in the mixed U-13 category where he played with Martyna Poprzeczko and won the final game with in two sets with the pair Kamil Klemp/Weronika Grudzina.
UKS Kiko Zamosc won the team ranking.
All foreign guests were pleased with the organisation of the tournament but some complained on the long waiting time for matches. However, nothing much could be changed in that respect as more than 600 matches had to be played.
Guests from Denmark and Russia had the opportunity to visit Warsaw. They were particularly enthusiastic about the Royal Lazienki Park where they could meet friendly but little hungry squirrels and birds that approached them with no fear and ate tasty crumbs straight from their hands.
- I am very pleased with this year's edition of Mazovia for a number of reasons. It is a great opportunity for young Polish players to verify their skills in the tournament with foreign competitors who often present quite different styles and techniques in the game. Moreover, it is a great promotion for Poland and Polish badminton. Good organisation, opportunity to visit new places, good fun at the Saturday's disco makes the tournament quite attractive. We hope to have more foreign guests in 2006 not only from the European countries. I can unofficially say that in Kason Mazovia Junior Cup 2006 we will also have some players from China, which will make the tournament even more attractive - comments Leszek Jagodziński, the organiser of the tournament and the chief of the Mazovian Badminton Association.
It is also worth pointing out that Kason's shop attracted a lot of clients. All players agreed that the equipment is top quality at very good prices. Many participants also expressed positive opinions about Kason's sportswear, numerous designs as well as good quality of the fabrics. It was visible in the U-19 men's double final when all four players wore Kason's sportswear.

3 gold medals for KASON Team!
Chinese junior players won three world championship titles in the tournament w Richmond, Canada.
In men's single category Jin CHEN defeated his collegue Weijie GONG. The game was a fantastic treat for badminton fans. The players fought for almost 90 minutes! Chen won the match in three sets 12/15,15/8,17/14 and eventually defended his world champion title earned two years ago in Pretoria, South Africa.
Yang YU also shone brightly as she won gold medals in women's and mixed doubles in pairs with Qing TIAN (WD) and Hanbin HE (MX).
Malaysian pair Thien How HOON / Boon Heong TAN won the men's double category. Shao Chieh CHENG from Taiwan won women's single category. She recently showed her skills at the Olympics in Athens where she qualified for the quarter finals. She currently ranks 19 in IBF's ranking.
Results in finals:
SM: Jin CHEN (China,1) - Weijie GONG (China,2) 12/15,15/8,17/14.

8 medals for KASON Junior Team!
China's national junior team, who are sponsored by KASON, secured 8 medals in the World Junior Championships in Redmond, Canada.
Surprisingly, Yanjiao JIANG (China,1) was defeated in the quarter finals by Shao Chieh CHENG (Taiwan,5/8) in a three-set game 3/11,11/9,11/5.
Quarter finals were the last stage for players from Europe. Women's doubles from Denmark and Germany as well as men's double from Russia must have accepted Asians' superiority.
China and Korea dominated the tournament, securing 8 and 7 medals respectively. Indonesia and Taiwan got two medals each and Malaysia 1.

28.10.2004r.
KASON Team's singlists pave their way to the quarter finals
So far, in the World Junior Championships in Richmond, Canada, only the mixed double Liu CAO / Pan PAN lost their game 15/10,12/15,7/15 to Korean pair Yong Dae LEE / Soo Hee PARK.
Jin CHEN (China,1), who won Championships in junior category two years ago, remains the sure candidate to keep the title as he shows no mercy for his opponents, winning easily all his matches. He lost only 15 points in the three first matches of the tournament.
Yanjiao JIANG (China, 1) and Lan LU (China, 2) are also among favourites for the gold medal, just as the Chinese women's double are in their category. It seems that Chinese men's and mixed double teams will have more difficult task to defeat Korean players.

KASON is proud!
China Junior Team have confirmed their status of the best badminton squad in the world by winning World Junior Champions title for the third consecutive time.
Canadian Richmond hosted this year's tournament that attracted 20 national teams including Denmark, Malaysia, Indonesia and Korea. In the group stage, Chinese players easily beat, first, Peru (5:0) and then Slovenia (5:0). Malaysia was tougher competitor, however, the score of the match was pretty much the same as the two previous ones - 5:0. Only the men's double Ye Shen/Hanbin He struggled for almost 90 minutes to beat Boon Heong Tan/Thien How Hoon in a three-game match. Mixed pair Ye Shen/Yang Yu, women's double Pan Pan/Chen Feng, and singlists: Lan Lu and Jin Chen have easily secured 2:0 wins in their matches with Malaysia.
In the semi-final stage, China Junior Team stood against Indonesia and the mixed double game of the match: Ye Shen/Chen Feng against Muhamad Rizal/Greysia Polli proved to be the toughest as it lasted 48 minutes and the Indonesian players were close to winning the second set. The Chinese duo remained calm and concentrated and eventually won the game with the second set closing at 15:13. Yanjiao Jiang and Jin Chen continued the winning streak securing 2:0 results with 11: 8, 11: 8 and 15:8, 15:7 scores.
One does not change the winning team, and, as a result, China beat Korea in the final in the same order as it happened with Indonesia. Ye Shen/Chen Feng beat Yong Dae Lee/Soo Hee Park in the first game of the match. Yanjiao Jiang competed against Soo Young Yang in the second game. In the first set, the Korean player had a chance to take the lead but Yanjiao Yang stood firm and ended the set winning 13:10. In the second set, Yanjiao Yang refined her strategy and let her opponent win only 3 points. Jin Chen kept Cheol Ho Lee at a safe distance and managed to secure convincing 2:0 win with 15:3, 15:9 scores.
